DISCOVERING YOUR HEALING TYPE
Your healing type is imprinted at the moment of birth by the elemental distribution
of your inborn nature. Harmonizing with your personal element makeup is an
excellent way both to prevent illness and to augment or restore health. The
elements represent our "personal weather", both emotionally and physically.

How we respond to the challenge illness presents is of utmost importance to the
healing process. Focusing on your healing type will help you to restore your body
to health or prevent sickness from occurring. Your type reveals much about your
natural tendencies toward ill health and your attitude toward your healing process.

A major factor, also influenced by type, is one's self-image and general attitude
toward one's life. These fundamentally influence our constitutional and immune
system reactions on the physical plane. And because they are susceptible to being
changed, we possess much more healing power than we know. By mobilizing our
transformative abilities through the use of the various tools and techniques now
available to us, we can reach deep into the implicate order and effect far-reaching
change, which will in turn spread through the total organism.

There are four basic types, related to Fire, Earth, Water and, Air. You may be a
single type, a mixture of two types, or a multiple type. Also, you may find emphasis
on one type or another (especially if you are a mixed type) at different times of the
month, day, year, or over a lifespan.

You must determine your natural affinity for each of the four elements. From this
information, you will derive your type. Then, tune into your basic type and learn to
work its healing energy.

You are now going to discover your healing type. Treat this exercise like a game ..
consider it an exploration of the unknown territory of your enfolded self.

From the word lists that follow, choose "only" the words that apply to you. Make
four columns that rate the degree to which each word applies: always, often, rarely,
or never. The idea is for you to make contact with your deep inner SELF's
implicate order, or innate elemental pattern.

Let the process flow from your interior self until you feel you have finished. Choose
as many or as few words as you like. You don't have to work in any particular
order .. go back and forth between the lists if you like.

One way to approach this is to first read a list quickly and then spontaneously
choose words that produce a strong emotional charge, either positive .. YES!
Always! .. or negative .. NO! Never! After that, go back and choose those that fall
into the "often" or "rarely" categories.
